World Book Day
We were finally able to celebrate World Book Day last week - it was fantastic to see so many of you at the reading breakfast and we thank you for your understanding when the snow meant we had to postpone it not once but twice!
The children spent the day doing a range of reading activities and really enjoyed dressing up in their year group themes (which were linked to books we are reading in school) or as their favourite book character. Miss Masters explained to everyone why reading is so important and the children were excited to hear about the new library books we have got, which they will be able to start bringing home in the coming weeks.
The winners of the 'Design a Book Cover' competition were announced in assembly and they will be able to choose a book as their prize.
Thank you once again for your support with our World Book Day celebrations and for sharing stories and reading experiences with your children throughout the year.
