Year 2

Great Fire of London Workshop 🔥

Year 2 had an exciting (and slightly smoky!) day exploring the Great Fire of London. The children stepped back in time to 1666 to learn how the fire started, why it spread so quickly, and how London changed afterwards.

They then worked together to design and build their very own cardboard London, complete with houses, shops, and even Pudding Lane! The highlight of the day was watching their miniature city go up in flames (safely, of course!) to see how the fire spread — a dramatic and unforgettable way to bring history to life.

It was a fantastic hands-on experience that combined creativity, teamwork, and historical learning — one the children will be talking about for a long time!
