Historical Association Young Historian Awards
Get Inspired by History!
Do you love discovering amazing stories from the past? Do you enjoy finding out what life was like long ago and sharing what you’ve learnt in your own words?
Each year, the Historical Association, together with the Spirit of Normandy Trust and Classics for All, runs special History Writing Awards for primary school children. These awards celebrate young historians who investigate, think critically, and write creatively about history.
There are three exciting categories to explore:
-
🏠 Local History – uncover the stories of your own area
-
🏛️ The Ancient World – journey back to Greece, Rome, or Egypt
-
🌍 Britain and the Second World War – discover how people lived and contributed during wartime
It’s a brilliant chance to show your curiosity, creativity, and love of learning — and maybe even win an award for your amazing history writing!
Get inspired — and help bring the past to life!
