PE

Our PE days are Monday (indoor) and Wednesday (outdoor). Children will be expected to come to school wearing their kit on these days.

 PE Kit – plain black shorts/ track bottoms, plain white t-shirt, plain black jumper or zipped jacket and trainers. No earrings.

Homework

Please make sure you read your child's school reading book with them for at least 10 minutes per day. Reading is a 'building block' on which much of their other learning rests, and regular reading at home makes a huge difference in the classroom. 

Children will receive spellings to learn at home every Friday and they will be tested on these words the following week. Children are also expected to go on Times Table Rockstars at least once a week.

Curriculum

Our History topic this term is The Great  Fire of London

In History, our topic for this half-term is the Great Fire of London. We will look at a range of historical sources, including artefacts [leather bucket, Fireman’s hat] and accounts [Samuel Pepys’ diary].

The children will also complete a ‘London’s Burning’ workshop where they will make houses, and then re-create the Great Fire.
