Special visitors in Nursery May 2025
We were very excited in Nursery this half-term because five caterpillars arrived for us to look after. We watched them grow huge, then they formed themselves into chrysalises hanging from the lid of their home. The chrysalises were then placed inside the net ready for them to turn into butterflies. When we broke up for the half-term holiday we still had five chrysalises, so Mrs Stableford took them home to look after them. On Tuesday, the first three butterflies emerged, then another on Wednesday and the final butterfly emerged on Thursday. Unfortunately, the butterflies could not be kept in the net for the first day back at Nursery, so Mrs Stableford had to release them. Look at the photographs of our amazing caterpillars and see how they changed over time. Watch the video of one of our butterflies emerging from its chrysalis and then see them fly away into the wild.
Pumpkin trail October 2024
Look at the fabulous pumpkins that the nursery children decorated for our pumpkin trail. We would like to thank all the families who decorated pumpkins and those who attended the pumpkin trail to find them hidden in the wildlife area. Everyone was really excited to find them
